Tilt and Turn Windows

The hinge system of tilt-and-turn windows allows them to open in both directions. Like a casement window, this style of window opens inwards and may be tilted from the bottom so that the top half of the glass is pulled open at a precise angle for ventilation, while still being secure.

How Do They Work?

Tilt-and-turn windows are firmly locked in place while the handle is pointing down. These structures perform two roles. When the handle is turned 180°, the top section tilts inwards, revealing a little entrance. The entire glass swings open inwards when the handle is cranked 90 degrees.

Qualities of Tilt And Turn Windows

Efficient use of energy

Tilt-and-turn windows with uPVC frames give great thermal comfort to your home all year since uPVC is a poor heat conductor. These frames are exceedingly tight and watertight. This guarantees that the cold-conditioned air stays within and that the hot outside air does not penetrate inside your home throughout the summer. During the winter, cold air cannot enter, and already heated air trapped within cannot escape. This improves your home’s energy efficiency while lowering your utility expenses. If air is continuously seeping in and out owing to poor frame design, your heating and cooling systems will be overworked.

Resistant to the elements

uPVC tilt-and-turn windows look new for many years and are resistant to corrosion and adverse weather extremes. This is especially important if you live in a hot, humid region. Not only do these windows survive a long period, but they also preserve their colour and polish. When paired with the correct sort of glass, uPVC is an extremely robust material that may last for decades.
