uPVC windows are perfect for heat and coolness insulation. uPVC is not a thermal conductor and by combining uPVC with uPVC double glazed windows first rate insulation values can be achieved.
As the uPVC frame cannot move, windows and doors seal tightly against their frames, unlike legacy products such as timber and aluminium joinery.
uPVC doors offer these same insulation values over their traditional competitors as uPVC frames are equally insulated.
uPVC is also the perfect product for noise insulation. As well as not being thermally conductive, uPVC does not conduct noise. Sound reduction of up to 38db is possible, as found in overseas tests. Our uPVC Wellington window customers always comment on how much quieter their house is after upgrading to our quality uPVC joinery.
Our uPVC windows and doors will easily last 40 years or more in New Zealand. uPVC frames and uPVC windows do not need painting or special maintenance. uPVC is resistant to dirt and environmental conditions and cannot be deformed by moisture or temperature changes, like timber and aluminium joinery. Additionally the uPVC itself will never rot, rust or corrode. uPVC windows and doors can be easily cleaned with soapy water. Some periodic maintenance of hinges and moving parts is recommended.
Our German Engineered uPVC profiles are treated for New Zealand UV environment and are sure to last over 50 years, exceeding lifespan and performance of aluminium and timber.
Safety & Security
uPVC windows and doors have multipoint locking systems. When you turn the handle the locking mechanism engages at many points rather than 1 point. uPVC joinery combined with laminated glass helps deter burglary as our joinery has steel inside the uPVC frame. Laminated glass is extremely difficult to break through.
Not only is uPVC joinery eco-friendly due to its thermal properties and its wellness improvements through environmental noise reduction, our supplier in Germany uses recycled uPVC as feedstock for new uPVC extrusions.
uPVC is recycled in Europe and as the benefits of this wonderful product are recognised here eventually a recycle market will develop in Australia and New Zealand.
